Remote Access Server (WAC Server)
Toolkit Applications
Since WAC session use only text to display, a standard Windows GUI application can't be displayed on your terminal screen. Because of this, we bundle lots of text applications with WAC Server, free of charge.
The applications in WAC Toolkit, come in two categories:tools for normal users and tools for system administrators.
TOOLS FOR USERS
WAC Toolkit includes the following tools for normal users:
- WAC Explorer: allows you to explore your computer, as well as your network neighborhood. You can manage all your local and remote files and even use drag and drop operations. A great text-only alternative to Windows Explorer.
- Email Inbox: a MAPI-compliant application that can access your email inbox. It allows you to check your emails and compose or reply emails.
- Text Editor: a standard text editor designed for Windows system. Unlike an old DOS text editor, this one is much more powerful and efficient.
- Binary Editor: allows you to view and edit files in binary formats.
TOOLS FOR ADMINISTRATORS
- User Manager: allows you to manage all your users and user groups on the server, including viewing user or group lists, adding new users or groups, removing users or groups, and updating user or group information.
- Registry Editor: allows you to view and modify Windows system registry from a full screen application much like the graphic Windows registry editor.
- Service Manager: allows you to view and operate Windows services running on your local server or remote server.
- Process Viewer: displays a list of all running process on the machine.
- Event Viewer: allows you to browse system event logs and view detailed information about each.
- ODBC Data Source: allows you to view and modify ODBC data sources.
